 MISSION AND GOALS 

The Government Relations and Policy Committee’s goal is to provide a link to key decision makers and the Maine Association of Group Care Providers.  By building positive relationships with these individuals and organizations we are certain more awareness can be gained about the critical role of group care so more informed decisions are made.  The following are key areas of focus:

 -Funding

-Political Presence

-Know the Political Environment

-Legislative Champions DHHS

-Lobbying 

-Licensing

-Data collection/analysis?

Proactive- Position Paper--The Committee will facilitate the construction of a position paper for these purposes:

1. “One Voice”
2.  Communication
3.  Living Document
4. Helps define organization
