Our goal is to  provide Maine Adoptive and Foster Families with a full range of training and learning opportunities. We also offer training opportunities to caregivers of Maine's foster and adoptive children and youth.

Nova Southeastern University

The Ed. D. Program in Child and Youth Studies is a field-based doctoral program for employed professionals whose work impacts the quality of life of children and youth from birth to age 18. University of Maine at Augusta

UMA / Cert Program

The College of Natural and Social Sciences offers a 30-credit certificate program in Child and Youth Care Practice.  This is a collaborative effort between UMA and the Maine Association of Group Care Providers.

SMART 

SMART offers quality training to meet the needs of agencies and individuals
serving clients of all ages, as well as those who simply need Red Cross CPR and First Aid training.  Additionally, both individual and agency training needs can be assessed and resources to meet those needs be located or created. Instruction in both MANDT and TCI is provided.  Many classes can be scheduled at your facility.
